About Us

Pomeroy Consulting Engineers is rich in history and quality of people. Founded by Cyril Pomeroy in 1965, the company is one of BC's longest established structural engineering companies. Gordon Aalhus joined Cyril in 1967 and together partnered to open an office on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver. John Wallace joined the company in 1973 as the company expanded and in 1977 became a principal. It has been these gentlemen who have led the company in the capacity of President for more than four decades, staying strong through the cyclical ebbs and flows of business in British Columbia.

Leadership transitioning began in 1996. The appointment of six new principals was announced - Clarence Wong, Doug Sinclair (now retired), Peter Kiddie, Jim Shuttleworth, Gordon Dunnet, and David Woo. In 2001, shares of the company began to be extended to staff through an Employee Shares Ownership program (ESOP).
