As an intermediate technician, Chris is responsible for developing conceptual structural layouts though to detailed working drawings.  He works directly with Project Engineers ensuring that drawings are completed on time and to high quality standards.  Since starting with Pomeroy in 1999, Chris has consistently proved himself to be a reliable and valuable member of numerous successfully completed projects.

Production and detail-oriented, Clarence is the person who leads Pomeroy's technical team and strives for continued excellence in the engineering product. He is well apt at managing multiple projects and ensuring that clients are well served. In addition to his project management skills, Clarence is active in the sponsorship and training of engineers new to Canada. His encouragement and commitment to this effort is realized in the many talented professionals who are advancing their careers and contributing their international knowledge to Pomeroy's projects.

David is a creative and fastidious leader for Pomeroy's commercial and residential projects. This is not to say that his experience does not cross the spectrum to Pomeroy's educational and healthcare projects. Indeed, David has designed numerous types of buildings. In all his work, he develops efficient and precise solutions with sophistication and style that compliments unique architectural expressions. David is a LEED accredited professional, an insightful team player, and exemplifies integrity and professionalism in all his dealings.

Gary started working at Pomeroy in 1979 as a junior drafter before moving to Whitehorse during the economic downturn of the early 80’s.  Pomeroy welcomed him back in 1987 as an senior drafter. Today, Gary is responsible for quality assurance training and site inspection review.  He communicates with consultants and contractors on a daily basis coordinating construction with design options.

Reliability, strength, and quality are just a few words to describe Gordon personally and professionally. These traits have resulted in clients who continually want to work with him because they know that he will do his job extremely well. Gordon has been the principal-in-charge of several of Pomeroy's large recreational projects - projects that are typically quite complex and require specialized expertise.

Ilana recently graduated from the University of Alberta and moved to Vancouver.  Since joining Pomeroy, she has been putting her theoretical knowledge into practice by providing design review and joining experienced Project Engineers for site reviews.

Inda loves the fact that there is “no text book solution” for the work she does at Pomeroy.  With an extensive background in industrial and institutional projects, Inda switched gears and began working on seismic retrofit projects when she joined the firm.  She finds the technical challenges of her work very rewarding and finds creativity in working with a variety of materials and alternative construction techniques.

Jackie is a recent addition to Pomeroy's drafting team.  Prior to joining, and as a Professional Engineer trained in China, he spent five years designing highrise, commercial and residential structures.  His design knowledge enables him to work well within time constraints and produce well organized drawings.

Thorough and dedicated, Jim's work is a reflection of engineering at its best. He is well organized and handles project challenges with integrity and professionalism. Clients, contractors, and consultant teams appreciate his high level skill in project coordination and attention to detail. These attributes are particularly important in the complex healthcare, recreational, and educational facility projects that Jim manages.

Whether in the office or in the community serving on several professional committees, John is a person who people want to listen to. His natural business acumen combined with truly outstanding technical skills has resulted in him being highly respected by his peers and staff. John is directly involved in project work, client relations, and professional mentoring. Most recently, he has been managing seismic assessments and upgrades of public facilities throughout BC. He attends and is involved in numerous management, technical, and industry affiliations. And as importantly, he champions excellence and progress in the workplace.

Kate obtained her diploma in civil and structural technology from BCIT and continued on to receive her degree in structural engineering from UBC. Since joining Pomeroy, Kate has been quickly developing both her practical and analytical technical skills.  She is particularly an effective communicator, collaborating with colleagues, consultants, and contractors and truly enjoying the team-based approach of her profession.

Katherine wears many hats at Pomeroy. She is experienced with both civil and structural drafting, producing structural, panel, and shop drawings. In addition, she has the challenging job of IT and CAD management, truly an art of keeping both computers and people happy. Katherine is responsible for hardware maintenance, software implementation and training, and CAD programming and customization.

New to Pomeroy, Kenny joins us after working nine years in Washington State. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia, Washington, and California and brings a wealth of experience in commercial, residential, and institutional projects.

Pomeroy welcomed Michael to their drafting team in 2007. With an engineering degree from China and North American steel detailing experience, he has an excellent understanding of technical details and an aptitude for producing quality drawings. Michael is furthering his professional education by taking courses currently offered by SEABC in conjunction with the UBC Civil Engineering Department.

Min joined Pomeroy in 2001 with an engineering degree and 10 years experience in China. She worked diligently as a CAD drafter and designer while taking several engineering courses through BSEG/UBC. Her hard work paid off and Min obtained her Professional Engineer of BC designation in 2004. Since then, she has contributed in a leadership role as the Project Engineer on Thompson Rivers University and other new educational and commercial facilities.

Richard is LEED^® Certified Professional Engineer who has a broad educational background that makes him particularly well-apt to finding creative solutions.  He has a natural inclination for being detail-oriented and is recognized for his ability to work with architects and contractors on solving technical issues in a timely fashion.
